Fall Petit Session Sneak Peaks:: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

I had an amazing time working with these families for their fall petite sessions. It went a lot smoother than I would have thought thanks to the help of Katrina, Stephanie and David. 

Katrina and her BEAUTIFUL daughter, Katie:-) I am sooo happy I can give back to her in this small way. She is SUCH an amazing photographer and assistant/second shooter

I SWEAR Cameron HATES that every year his Mom, Julie makes him get his photo taken...lol. But he is always a good sport:-)

It was AMAZING seeing this family again. I LOVE when my clients come multiple times to see me. Kelli and her family are just BEAUTIFUL!!!

Dlana wanted a small mini session for her maternity...she is expecting TWINS!!! So keep an eye out for them coming into my studio. But she also took the time to capture some moments with her son, Dalan, especially before he has to share her with TWO little munchkins!

Tracy and her girls are BEAUTIFUL, and although Haley took a while to warm up to me, I was still able to capture some beautiful photos. I bet a full session with me, and I would be Haley's best friend!!!

Jeannie warned me they would be a handful! But OH how these two boys made me laugh!

and of COURSE, i had to get one or two shots of Ava, David and I....thank you Stephanie for caturing these for us!!

Smith Family:: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

I am so blessed to have amazing friends and family who appreciate my work, and look forward to, and book sessions months in advance. Yvonne knew her family would be in town and one of her main priorities was getting family photos. Ben is in the military, and seems to be gone more often than not, so it is sometimes hard for them to get the entire family in one photo.

The kids were rambunctious, but a blast! They are just a beautiful family and add a beautiful setting and lighting, and you have an amazing session!!!

Baby Hannah:: Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

If you remember, I was blessed to capture the maternity photos while Catherine was pregnant with baby Hannah. Well, the beautiful, peaceful baby girl was a DREAM to have in the studio for her newborn session. Unfortunately, her older sister didn't want to have her picture taken, so we weren't able to get photos of all three of Catherine and Jordan's gorgeous girls, but we are going to try with a lifestyle shoot in their home in a couple weeks.

This session was one of my first to incorporate outdoor pictures into a session, and I have to admit, i think I am IN LOVE!!!

Ray Baby:: Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

I am SOOO far behind in blogging.  This particular session is the son of one of my cousins. I LOVE Mandy. Her husband Geoff was deployed, and made it home right before baby Ray made his grand entrance. He is DARLING, and completes this beautiful family!!

Pamela and Joe:: Columbus, Ohio Wedding Photographer

In July I had the pleasure of photographing and AMAZING wedding. The bride and groom pretty much handed me the perfect wedding on a silver platter. The colors, the setting, even the finale of the wedding party jumping in the pool! I was SOOO excited through the whole thing!

The simple, small wedding took place on the rocks over looking Lake Erie from the Marble Head Lighthouse. The colors were spectacular, and the bride was ravishing.

We were going to go into Cedar Point to get the bridal party shots after the wedding, but it was 104 degrees out, and no one felt like going while it was THAT hot. Luckily, my second shooter, Katrina, and I had seen a cute fair down the street that made for the perfect backdrop.

Le Petit Sessions:: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

I SWORE up and down I would never do mini sessions. I figured if families really wanted a session, why would they want it shortened? Well, then I had regular clients, ones which had already had full sessions earlier in the year ask if I would do "One or two shots" for them for their Holiday cards.

Now it is Fall, and I had a BRILLIANT idea for a stylized shoot. What is a stylized shoot? Well, it is when the photographer uses special props, and creates a special "scene" or backdrop for the session. Sometimes incorporating a wordrobe as well. Unfortunately, the idea I had was pretty involved, and would require a lot of set up. I could do one of two things. I could set it up once and use it for Ava's first Birthday photos, OR I could set it up ONCE and use it for a mini session. Well, I will be doing both:-) On October 20th, I will be offering a unique backdrop for some beautiful fall minis (wordrobe not included, but will gladly advise families on what will look best). And I STILL refuse to call them minis, hence the name "Le Petit"...Yes, Yes, Yes, I am aware that means "the small" in French, but I am being stubborn and can still say I don't do "Mini Sessions" ;-)

Sessions start at 3 and go to 5:40:

THEN I decided, what the heck! Some people like the indoor, studio sessions. So, I put in a day for those. November 11th will offer sessions from 1pm-4pm.

As you can see, there are already sessions being nabbed up!! The Full session fee is due within 24 hours of booking, or your slot will be re-opened to others wanting it. As you can see, there are 2 different options. Each session will obviously produce more than 4 images, so you will have the opportunity to add more to your disc for a minimal cost.

Hudson Turns 1!! :: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

I get phone calls all through the week for scheduling sessions. However, once in a while there will be a call that completely takes me by surprise. Marie, Brett and I all graduated from the same high school. Marie and I were pretty good friends in High school, on the dance team together, had a lot of the same friends. However, as life happens, and we went off to college, we grew a part. We would run into each other occasionally in our hometown, and my sister even worked with her one summer. I always cherished her friendship, but had chalked it up to one of the past....

Well, imagine my surprise when I received an email from her wanting me to photograph her son Hudson's 1st birthday picture! I was so excited that A) she thought of me, and B) that I would get this opportunity to reconnect with an old friend.

Expect to see a lot more of Hudson in the future, his mom and dad purchased my "Watch me Grow" package. The package includes 1 sitting fee a year till 5years old at a reduced price if purchased at the time of the 1st birthday shoot. So, not only did I get a "new" client for life, but I am soo excited for future play dates for Hudson and Ava, and double dates with Marie and Brett!

 

Presley Turns 1:: Columbus, Ohio Children's Photographer

WOW! I Really need to keep up with the blog posts. First of all, I want to say thank you to every one of my new clients, returning clients, referrals, and everyone who has been supporting me this year. It has been AMAZING to watch my business grow and expand at the rate it has.

This family session was with a long time friend and coworker. Heather and Shawn have know the pain of wanting a child so bad, they were willing to go to the ends of the earth and back to build their family. Through the loss of my daughter, Heather was an immense amount of support, and we celebrated with each other when we both welcomed healthy babies into the world only a few months apart.

Presley is TRULY an angel from heaven. She was picked specifically for this family, and is a blessing to everyone who has the pleasure of meeting her. I was THRILLED when Heather and Shawn wanted me to take her 1 year photos. We did the family shots, then her cake smash session, and then finished up with a nice warm bubble bath! :-)

Family on the Farm:: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of working with an amazing family recently. I LOVE when my current clients refer new people my way, I have the pleasure of enjoying new company, even if for only a few short hours.
 Borah and Johnny are such a beautiful couple. It is really hard to get a BAD shot when I have such great subjects to work with. Their sons, Maddox and Ayden are so handsome, and even the dog was great looking!! lol;-)
They were troopers!! When we were worried about the weather, we were about to reschedule, but we noticed the weather was going to avoid my parents' house, it is about 1 hour outside of Columbus. Borah had seen the photos from my sister's engagement session, and wanted to visit some of the same sites. We were blessed with beautiful light, and beautiful locations for their family shoot.
I can't wait for the next session with them!!

Johnny and Borah never had professional engagement photos, so we made sure to get a few of just the two of them:
