Elayna Newborn Session:: Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

I seriously have had a streak of babies with GORGEOUS hair! Miss Elayna was another recent one that I could not bring myself to cover her head with bonnets and hats:-) She was such a DREAM baby, allowing me to pose her and get so many different set ups. Her sister, Layla was such a good big sister, and LOVED getting her photo taken...she was such a ham! I am excited to get to know this family more throughout the next yeaar as Elayna has her "Baby's First Year" Package with IEP:-)

Smith Family:: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

I am so blessed to have amazing friends and family who appreciate my work, and look forward to, and book sessions months in advance. Yvonne knew her family would be in town and one of her main priorities was getting family photos. Ben is in the military, and seems to be gone more often than not, so it is sometimes hard for them to get the entire family in one photo.

The kids were rambunctious, but a blast! They are just a beautiful family and add a beautiful setting and lighting, and you have an amazing session!!!

Baby Hannah:: Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

If you remember, I was blessed to capture the maternity photos while Catherine was pregnant with baby Hannah. Well, the beautiful, peaceful baby girl was a DREAM to have in the studio for her newborn session. Unfortunately, her older sister didn't want to have her picture taken, so we weren't able to get photos of all three of Catherine and Jordan's gorgeous girls, but we are going to try with a lifestyle shoot in their home in a couple weeks.

This session was one of my first to incorporate outdoor pictures into a session, and I have to admit, i think I am IN LOVE!!!

Here is baby Hannah. ENJOY!!

Very Special Family:: Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

When I started out photography, I started out because I needed a creative outlet because of Rosalynn's death. As I progressed, I relized I wanted to give back. I wanted to use the gift that God had bestowed upon me to give back to a community that had helped me through the roughtest parts of my life, the baby loss community.

I am sure many of you have heard of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, if not, you should really check them out, and suppport/donate, because they are an amazing orginization. Unfortunately, I don't think I am emotionally strong enough to join that group of photographers yet. I feel it is still too early in my grief to relive those moments every time I walk into a hospital room of another family who just experiences the worst pain any human can...the loss of their child.

So, I decided to do my own twist on things. A way for me to still give back. I offer very special shoots such as this one.

Jill, the mother, contacted me. She had recieved my information from a friend who was a part of a support group. I LOVE hearing how my name is being spread! She wanted a VERY special shoot. She had already had Luke's newborn photos done, but she wanted something that only a Baby Loss Parent would understand....a full family photo...including their first born son, Colin.....grab a tissue:-)

Children Photos

We have covered my recent newborn, maternity, and family. Today I am posting a few children's photos. As I mentioned in the Family shoot, children, especially around 2-5/6 are the hardest to keep interested in a photo shoot. You have about 30-45 mins (if that) before they lose interest and don't want to be bothered any more. Every once in a while, I have to recruit the help of the parents to swing, tickle, kiss, and play with the kids:-)

I have been pretty blessed with the kids that have come my way so far:
