Belly to Baby, The M Family:: Columbus, ohio newborn Photographer

The M family was recently referred to me by another amazing IEP family. They loved their pictures so much of their son, that they tell EVERYONE they know about us....BLUSH!!

I knew from the very start that the M family was going to be so much fun to work with, but I never expected us to click so well. I feel like I have known them forever, not just a couple short months. We have a lot in common, and talking with them is like talking with long time friends. They initially came to me for their maternity session. i was in a bit of a funk after my daughter had been in the hospital for 5 days, and my husband and i suffered a miscarriage the same week. As soon as the Ms walked in the door, however, my spirits were immediately lifted, and my creative juices started flowing!! I was SOOO inspired:-)

Special Family:: Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer

This family holds a very special place in my heart! Their son is adopted, and his mom contacted me to do an "anticipation session". However, before we were able to schedule it, they were blessed with their new bundle of joy. His newborn session was awesome, and they decided to come back to me for both his 3 month, and his 6 month session. During his 6 month session, we were excited to include his biological sister in the session as well.

They are such an amazing and blessed family.

Baby Evan:: Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

I often get asked what the ideal time for a newborn photography session is. I answer "Within the first 14 days of life". However, sometimes things happen:  babies have stays in the NICU, parents get overwhelmed with the new addition to their family and lose track of time, and don't get around to scheduling. When Evan's mom called me, he was already 4 weeks old. I wasn't able to get him in until he was 5 weeks old.

However, I am SOOOOOOO glad she called me. Evan was a little more challenging than most early newborns, but we were still able to get some AMAZING photos of him!!! I was soooo pleased, and now, no matter how old the newborn is, I encourage families to bring them in. I would rather you have at least a few great photos of your newborn than nothing, because these moments go WAY too fast, and you won't get them back....so capture them:-)

Virginia Beach Mini-Vaca: Columbus, Ohio Children's Photographer

I have not shared many personal photos on here. Part of it is because I stink at editing and uploading my personal photos because I am so busy with my client photos. I hope to change this, and plan on getting caught up on personal images. I recently went to visit my friend Laura, from Laura Enright Photography in Virginia Beach. Anyone looking for a Virginia Beach photographer, I HIGHLY suggest her!!

We took our 3 children to the Beach...the best part of having 2 friends who are photographers: two different perspectives of the same event:-) I LOVE the photos she captured of my baby girl!!! Here are just a few I took:
